Follow the royal family’s tracks around Scotland, visit places inaccessible to the public, immerse in breathtaking landscapes, enjoy and learn about the finest whiskey in the world.

Day 1 After your personal pick up from the airport it is only a 40 minutes ride to Kinross House, which is one of Scotland's most beautiful and important houses, designed and built by Sir William Bruce in 1686. The view of the house which is slowly revealed as the grand gates open will take your breath away. Recently renovated to the highest standard, the interior of the house is equally impressive. Welcomed by a piper and a glass of whisky upon arrival, your will be shown to their rooms before dinner. Day 2 A day spent exploring the ancient capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh. The tour will include historic buildings such as the iconic Edinburgh Castle and and the graveyard which holds the poignant story of Greyfriar's Bobby as well as providing inspiration to JK Rowling for the names of her Harry Potter characters. Hidden secrets such as Mary King's Close, the original city which was built over and now lies beneath The Royal Mile are not to be missed. Shopping for kilts and clothing, jewellery, silver, artisan food, antiques, art & craft can be arranged. There are plenty of quirky, hidden places for a coffee or drink, as well as fine dining experiences to choose from for lunch. A Scottish seafood extravaganza dinner with specially selected wines to match will be held on board Her Majesty, The Queen's former Royal Yacht Britannia. The Royal Yacht is the epitome of sophisticated elegance, and to be able to use it for a private party is a great privilege. Whisky expert Charles MacLean will be your special guest tonight, he will bring with him a selection of special whisky for you to taste. Charles is one of the worlds most respected experts in the whisky industry, with many books to his name. He is a fountain of knowledge and imparts information in an informal and entertaining style. Spend the night at Kinross House. Day 3 Morning coffee will be held in a magnificent ancestral home with a fascinating history, not far from Kinross House. We will then travel by helicopter to Speyside, to the beautiful Gordon Castle which will be home for the night. The origins of the castle date back to 1479 and has undergone many transformations over the centuries until it is the grand baronial mansion we see now. Before dinner, guests can enjoy a stroll around the sculptured castle gardens, or the lovingly restored Walled Garden. As with each night, drinks will be served by your butler in the drawing room before dinner. A glass engraver will give guests a demonstration and will personalise a unique product for those who wish. Dinner in the castle, followed by a local contemporary fiddle band to entertain. Spend the night at Gordon Castle. Day 4 Distilleries in the Speyside region, within an hour's drive from Gordon Castle include some of the well known names. Macallan, Glenfarclas, Benromach, Cardhu, Glenfiddich, Glen Grant, Glenlivet, Glen Moray, and Strathisla are all open to the public, and we can arrange a special tour of Mortlach, Miltonduff, Knockdhu, Cragganmore, Balvenie and Aberlour, which are not. We will visit two distilleries for a tour and tasting in the morning, and in the afternoon there will be the chance to try clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, archery, trout fishing and off-road driving, or to enjoy a round of golf, before heading home to the castle for dinner. Upon request we can arrange for a casino night to be held after dinner. Spend the night at Gordon Castle. Day 5 This morning guests will transfer from Speyside to Skye by private jet. Accommodation tonight and tomorrow night is the beautiful Kinloch Lodge, the home of Lady Claire Macdonald and her family on the Isle of Skye. Lady Claire is a highly respected cook with many books to her name. The country house hotel is luxurious and comfortable, the food delicious. This afternoon guests will be given the opportunity to enjoy a cookery lesson making Scottish dishes such as haggis and shortbread, or may prefer to go for a walk and enjoy the clean air and spectacular scenery before dinner. Day 6 Today will be spent travelling around Skye by road, enjoying the knowledgeable company of a trusted guide. Armed with information about local history, myths and legends, he will answer any questions about the wildlife and stunning scenery. As well as enjoying the beautiful scenery, we will also have a guided tour and tasting at Talisker Distillery, an outstanding lunch at the world famous Michelin star restaurant, Three Chimneys. Day 7 Weather permitting we will take a fast boat to the magnificent red sandstone Glenborrodale Castle on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, our home for the next two nights. A visit to the very pretty Ardnamurchan Distillery, recently opened by Princess Anne, for a tour, tasting and the opportunity to buy and fill your own cask. Guests will enjoy a whisky tasting in the castle before dinner. Otter, stag, osprey and seals are just a few of the wildlife to look out for. Day 8 Today will be spent on the island of Mull which offers plenty to do, including strolling around the shops in picturesque Tobermory, visiting Duart Castle and Tobermory Distillery, enjoying a pint of craft beer or a dram at The Mishnish (a very traditional Scottish pub) and fresh fish & chips on the pier just like Prince Charles like to do it. There is also the opportunity for fishing & shooting at a privately owned estate. Back at Glenborrodale there will be another delicious dinner followed by music in the drawing room. Whisky, as always, will be on hand, this time provided by Adelphi, an independent bottling company who own The Ardnamurchan Distillery. Marketing director Alex Bruce will be on hand to chat about the whiskies and the distillery. Day 9 Helicopter from Glenborrodale to Islay in the morning to spend an exciting whistle-stop day touring the distilleries. Port Ellen, Ardbeg, Bunnahabhain, Bruichladdich, Bowmore, Laphroig, Lagavullin, Caol Ila, and Kilchoman are the Islay names, only Port Ellen is not operational and open to visitors. Enjoy lunch with Anthony and Kathy Wills, the owners of Kilchoman Distillery, before boarding a helicopter to travel to the east coast, to stunning private, members only Pittormie Castle, the former home of the Earls of Fife. It is very rare that non-members are allowed access to this highly prestigious and exclusive spot. Tradition and history are matched with luxury and top service. The residential Michelin starred chef works magic with top Scottish produce. Stay Pittormie Castle. Day 10 For those who wish we will arrange golf in St Andrew's, the home of golf. Upon request we can secure tee times on the world championship Old Course (according to availability). Other activities in the St Andrew's area include a walk on the beach where Chariots of Fire was filmed, a tour of Kingsbarns Distillery, The Eden Brewery, the highly collectable Wemyss Pottery, a private tour of Wemyss Castle & Gardens with the owners (not available to the public). A little further afield are Falkland Palace, the historic home of Mary Queen of Scots, and the majestic home of the Earls of Mansfield, Scone Palace. Nearby there is a huge art and antique shop which is fun to rummage around should anyone wish. A special farewell dinner will be arranged for this evening at Birkhill Castle, the home of The Earl & Countess of Dundee, who look forward to welcoming guests to their home. Stay Pittormie Castle. Day 11 Return to Edinburgh Airport. Notes: Kilts for both ladies and gentlemen, both traditional and contemporary, may be ordered in advance. Although dinners are relaxed affairs, it can be fun to dress up too.
