…everything started with a young Austrian woman, who was posted to Shanghai as a Diplomat at the Austrian Consulate General. When her posting in China came to an end she reflected on the beauty of discovering new countries and the joy of travel. She lay in a hammock, wearing her favourite hat, while she was making a paper plane, because she likes the light-heartedness and the playfulness of paper planes. “If discovering new countries only was as easy-going as flying a paper plane”… she thought. That’s when she came up with the idea of making the individual experience of profound travel as light-hearted as it is with WestWind.
