1. Reservation

(i) Once receiving the booking requirement from you, one of our travel advisors will reply and if necessary start to assist you within 24 hours.

(ii) Upon the receipt of your deposit, West Wind Travel will process the final booking immediately and make the booking secured by sending you the confirmation as soon as possible. In the confirmation, you will be informed about the final details. In case, any conditions have to be changed after the confirmation, West Wind Travel reserves the right to make changes and provide similar alternative options.

(iii) We highly recommend to make your reservation 30 days prior to the actual departure date. Full payment is required 21 days prior to your actual arrival date. Should the tour be booked within 21 days before departure for your tour, full payment is required.

2. Payment

West Wind Travel accepts three ways of payment.

Your travel advisor will send you the detailed payment guide by email.

Important notes about the exchange rates:

The quote we provide in Chinese Yuan (CNY/RMB) is based on the real price in the currency of the respective country of destination of your travel. Due to fluctuation of exchange rates, the quote in CNY/RMB is subject to slight change, while the quote in the destination’s currency still remains the same.

3. Cancellation and Refund

Should you need to cancel your tour or any fragment of your trip, your cancellation must be in writing. Cancellation refunds will be calculated as of the cancellation date which will be effective on the date of receipt by West Wind Travel.The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows unless stated explicitly different:

(i) Cancellation received more than 30 days before departure: RMB 200

(ii) Cancellation received from 21 to 30 days before departure: 20% of the tour price

(iii) Cancellation received from 10 to 20 days before departure: 70% of the tour price

(iv) Cancellation received from 0 to 9 days before departure: 100% of the tour price

(v) No-show travellers will be charged 100% of the tour price

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your willingness, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

4. Travel Documents

A valid passport and necessary Chinese visa are required. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of yours. Our travel advisers will assist you to do so.

5. Luggage Allowance

In accordance with the regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation, the free baggage allowance is subject to the respective airline’s regulations. Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of yours.

6. Insurance

We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance. Please consult with our travel adviser who will find a suitable insurance cover for you.

7. Health Requirements

You should take into consideration all international travel risks and familiarize yourselves with health requirement applicable to the areas you intend to visit. You are solely responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of government in countries visited or transited. You must advise us in writing, at or prior to making reservation, of physical, emotional or mental condition which may require professional attention during the trip or may require the use of special equipment.

8. Complaints and Claims

Whenever you feel unsatisfied with any service that West Wind Travel has provided, please tell your local guide or your travel advisor immediately to avoid the possible occurrence of similar problems happening again during your trip.

In case of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days upon you completion of the tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. West Wind Travel will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.

9. Responsibility

West Wind Travel shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to person or personal property, alteration of itineraries or cancellation in part or in full, caused by climatic conditions, sea fire, breakdown of machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond West Wind Travel’s control. Neither West Wind Travel nor any of its affiliates or subsidiaries shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses of liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of any of the aforementioned causes.

West Wind Travel shall not be responsible for any wrongful, negligent, or fraudulent omissions, changes of itinerary, cancellation or the failure of any equipment operated by any suppliers such as transportation carriers, cruise, and hotels, or any other party not directly owned or controlled by West Wind Travel.

West Wind Travel is not responsible for a customer’s failure to comply with customs regulations.

West Wind Travel is not responsible for the theft or loss of any customer’s valuables or items of personal property due to the negligence of the customer.

West Wind Travel reserves the right to substitute hotels, flights, or cruise ships, to alter itineraries, or to cancel the tour prior to departure.

Many of West Wind Travel tour packages include activities which require particular care and attention. You will receive help and advice from our representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risk. West Wind Travel, its employees and agents cannot be held responsible for any action or event that occurs after its said employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care.
